We welcomed 30 new fellows into this year's Community Leadership Institute program

In September, we welcomed 30 new fellows into our Community Leadership fellowship program. We're excited for the fellows to join our growing CLI network, and support them as they prepare for a year of learning, growth, and connection!

Our King County-based CLI cohort launched with fifteen fellows and their families at Seattle City Hall on September 14th. The following weekend, we welcomed fifteen fellows into our Clark County cohort with local partner, Southwest Washington Equity Coalition, at Vancouver Community Library on September 21st.

A panel of CLI alumni spoke at both CLI Kickoffs, sharing their experiences with the program and what they learned along the way. Many thanks to Teresa Mosqueda, King County Councilmember and the Honorable Tsering Cornell, Clark County Superior Court Judge for sharing their stories with our incoming fellows about what's possible when lean into discomfort and build a powerful network of support around you as you step into new leadership roles.

Over the next year, the fellows will learn together and grow their leadership skills as they prepare to serve on boards and commissions across Washington State. Meet the incoming fellows, and learn more about why they joined this year's program.
